The adapter plates and coupler are designed for all 8" and 9" Motors using a clutch.

About Adaper Plates:

Almost every vehicle has a different transmission. For this reason every electric vehicle conversion must have a unique adapter plate installed to mate the electric motor to the transmission. Most EV conversions make use of the existing manual transmission. There are very few conversions done with an automatic transmission because the automatic requires much more energy to operate than a manual.

The Adapter plate is comprised of a few different pieces; The plate itself which bolts to the transmission, a spacer if required, and a coupler to connect the shaft of the motor to the transmission shaft. We will have different adapters available for different transmissions (starting with the Miata) or ask us and we will custom make one for you.
